It all started in Florida, where my rockstar single Jamaican mom raised me and taught me hustle by example. Early on, I knew education would change my life, so I worked my way into magnet arts middle and high schools and then to Dartmouth, where I studied Neuroscience. But ultimately, I couldn’t ignore my love for TV, movies, music and all things entertainment and pop culture. I grew up admiring staples like Entertainment Tonight and E! News, and I dreamed of co-hosting with Nancy O’Dell and Giuliana Rancic — why couldn’t I turn my dream into reality?
I decided to take a giant leap of faith, and after college I moved to New York to pursue hosting. After years of working to catch a break, I won a 2014 national VH1 competition to be a reporter alongside Nick Lachey. That incredible opportunity led to more, and I have since hosted digital shows for Condé Nast, covered The Oscars, GRAMMYs, Tonys and more for The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard, and written for Penguin Random House’s millennial division.
Most recently, I was an Associate Producer on Steve Harvey's Emmy-nominated talk show "STEVE,” based in Los Angeles. During my first year at “STEVE,” I worked simultaneously as an Executive Assistant and on-camera talent for the show's daily ‘Hey Steve’ segment in addition to hosting digital content.
Random fun things: I’m an award-winning and nationally ranked Slam Poet, I was a 2016 Miss New York USA contestant and I love travel (13 countries & counting!), cooking, snowboarding and Beyonce!
